Risk and Assurance management

• Assisting with the preparation, implementation and supervision of Environmental monitoring, survey programs, annual onshore and offshore ecological surveys, stakeholders engagement activities, Wildlife Response Plan, conservation actions, Biodiversity Action Plan, related procedures, guidance notes, etc. • Timely completion of environmental performance/monitoring, survey reports; ensuring appropriate levels of documentation at all stages. • Supporting the management of contracts for field work, laboratory analysis and reporting, in line with Company policies and standards. • Definition of work scopes and management of contractors in the development or revision of projects that assist permit applications. • Support the Biodiversity Lead in interfacing and conducting negotiations, as necessary, with RoK regulators on environmental matters. • Assure that environmental surveys, industrial control programmes and procedures are compliant with RoK law and regulations. • Promoting a better understanding of Company ecological activities (monitoring, surveys and compliance) to the local and national authorities by developing closer ties through networking, workshops, etc. • Facilitating the implementation and maintenance of an ISO 14001 Management System within NCPOC operations. • Drafting procedures that are necessary for the implementation of the HSE-MS as required. • Carrying out internal HSE-MS audits and Environmental reviews of work sites and project proposals as required. • Carrying out quality assessments on environmental monitoring reports and negotiate their acceptance by MNREP and RDEPs. • Participating in EIA process for all principal phases of the North Caspian project, including scientific workshops and stakeholder consultation as required. • Assisting in the preparation of responses to enquiries and claims regarding company environmental protection and performance. • Undertaking Emergency Response Team duties. • Participating in Company Environmental audits of assets and facilities as required. • Participating in incident investigations with environmental implications. • Reviewing Contractor supplied Environmental related documentation, such as Project Design documents, • HSE Cases, HSE Plans, Waste Management Plans, etc. • Supervising and training Survey staff. • Conducting outreach activities related to environment in schools and high education centers in the region.

• Endorsement of Offshore Environmental survey program with the authorized bodies; • Supporting colleagues in the department of organizational issues; • Coordination financial issues with Contractors regarding all completed Offshore/Onshore Environmental issues; • Conducting outreach activities related environment in schools and high education center in the region; • Supporting the planning of annual Offshore/Onshore environmental survey programmes; • Supporting in the supervision of Onshore environmental surveys and monitoring programmes, with due attention to safety and technical considerations; • Supporting the management of contracts for field work, laboratory analysis and reporting in line with company policies and QAP standards; • Assisting in the preparation of response to enquiries and claims regarding company environmental protection and performance; • Supervising timely procurement and appropriate maintenance of equipment and materials; • Assuming responsibility for quality assurance/control in all aspects of the implementation of environmental monitoring programmes, ensuring appropriate levels of documentation at all stages; • Carrying out quality assessments on environmental monitoring reports; • Participating in Environmental Impact Assessment process for all principal phases of the North Caspian project, including scientific workshops and stakeholder consultation; • Carrying out quality assessments on EIAs and environmental components of other major project documents; • Preparing and presenting summary materials on monitoring results, EIAs and other environmental issues for stakeholder consultation meetings; • Assisting in the preparation of responses to enquiries and claims regarding company environmental protection and performance; • Carrying out Wild life monitoring programme; • Preparing and presenting summary materials on monitoring results, EIAs and other environmental issues for stakeholder consultation meeting; • Development of scope of works, technical evaluation plans and necessary documents for new contracts in accordance with company policies and standards; • Liaise with Local Authorities e.g. Akimat (Regional Administration), Regional Environmental Department, Ministry of Environment Protection of Kazakhstan; • Working with Environmental Permitting Consultants – checking environmental engineering documentation, making comments, site visits to ensure that data are given properly, environmental inventory, coordination of consultants activities, bidding (tender) of consultants; • Participation at HSE Audits; • Participation at Environmental Impact Assessment development, study, discussion, public hearings, approval process; • Participation on various survey programs: Caspian seal survey, sturgeon survey, birds survey, marine survey etc. • Presenting Company interests on various seminars, exhibitions, open…

• Coordination and development of the MPE, MPD and other Environment section documents • Preparation of the final report with appendices about an ecological condition of sites • Collection of data for environmental quarterly statistics reports, keeping records in field ecology logbooks, participation in annual environmental reports preparation • Sampling of waste water, soil, groundwater and air quality and emissions • Control and Interpretation of Environmental monitoring results (groundwater, soil, waste water, air quality and emissions), the data gathering about an ecological condition of regions, drawing up of route charts • Field inspections • Participation in execution of prescripts and orders of the supervisory bodies • Participation in safety meetings and consultations on environmental issues • Liaise with Local Authorities e.g. Akimat (Regional Administration), Regional Environmental Department, Ministry of Environment Protection of Kazakhstan,
